HALLS & LAYOUT

IFEMA Madrid is organised around a central avenue (the Paseo Central) running the full length of the site, from which all 13 halls are accessible. The layout is broadly linear, with halls numbered 1–14 (with some gaps) arranged on either side of the main walkway.

Halls 1–6 occupy the southern section of the site and are most frequently used for mid-sized fairs and multi-sector events. Halls 5, 7, and 9 are regularly combined for large decoration and gift fairs such as Intergift.

Halls 7–10 form the central cluster and are the most versatile in the complex. Hall sizes in this section range from approximately 10,000 to 21,600 m². Halls 2, 6, and 12 are column-free, making them the preferred choice for heavy machinery, vehicle displays, and large stand constructions.

Halls 12 and 14 are located in the northern section. Hall 14 contains the Pasarela (catwalk spaces) — two dedicated areas for fashion presentations and product launches accommodating 756 and 800 people respectively.

The venue is considerably closer to Madrid–Barajas Airport (approximately 10 minutes) than to the historic centre, making it highly practical for international exhibitors flying in and out.

Which metro station serves IFEMA Madrid?
Feria de Madrid is the dedicated Metro Line 8 (pink line) station, located at the North entrance of the venue. It is 2–3 stops from Madrid–Barajas Airport (depending on terminal) and approximately 20 minutes from Nuevos Ministerios, the main interchange point for the city centre. A standard Madrid single-zone ticket does not cover the airport section of Line 8; a supplement or combined ticket is required for journeys including the airport.

How early should I book hotels for FITUR?
FITUR (International Tourism Fair) takes place each January and is one of the most hotel-intensive events in the Madrid calendar, attracting over 100,000 professional visitors and the general public. IFEMA Palacio Municipal (formerly known as the Palacio de Congresos) is a separate congress centre located closer to the city centre, managed by IFEMA since 2019 and used primarily for congresses, conventions, and smaller events. Unless your event confirmation specifies “Palacio Municipal,” your fair is at the main IFEMA Feria de Madrid site.

Are there shuttle services to IFEMA Madrid during trade fairs?
