Pavilions & Layout

Fiera Milano is organised into 20 interconnected pavilions, numbered 1–24 (with some numbers reserved or combined), arranged across two main entrance axes.
Gate West (Ingresso Ovest) — primary entrance for most trade fairs. Direct access from the Rho-Fieramilano metro station and the Rho motorway junction. Pavilions 1–6 and 14–18 are closest to this entrance.
Gate East (Ingresso Est) — secondary entrance, accessible from the SS11 road and SS33 (Sempione). Pavilions 7–13 and 22–24 are served primarily from this side.
Gate South (Ingresso Sud) — used for large-vehicle and logistics access during set-up and break-down periods.
Connecting corridor: All pavilions are linked by a central covered walkway (Viale dell’Innovazione) running the full length of the site, allowing exhibitors to move between halls without going outdoors.

Practical notes for exhibitors:

  • Allow 10–15 minutes to walk from one end of the site to the other
  • Electric shuttle buggies operate inside the venue during major fairs
  • Each pavilion entrance has its own accreditation desk during set-up days

FAQ Section

  • How far is Fiera Milano from Milan city centre? Fiera Milano in Rho is approximately 18 km northwest of Milan city centre. By metro (M1 red line), the journey from Cadorna station takes around 30 minutes. By car, expect 25–40 minutes depending on traffic, with the A8 motorway being the most direct route.
  • Which is the closest metro station to Fiera Milano? Rho-Fieramilano is the dedicated metro station serving the venue, located at the West Gate. It is the final stop on the M1 red line (extra-urban section). Journey time from Milan Cadorna is approximately 30 minutes. Note that an extra-urban supplement applies to standard Milan metro tickets.
  • How early should I book hotels for Salone del Mobile? For Salone del Mobile (held each April), hotels within 10 km of Fiera Milano typically sell out 6–9 months in advance. We recommend contacting us no later than October–November for the following April’s edition. For other major fairs such as EICMA or HOST, 4–6 months in advance is generally sufficient.
  • Are there shuttle services from Malpensa to Fiera Milano? Yes. During major trade fairs, dedicated shuttle services operate between Malpensa Airport (T1 and T2) and Fiera Milano. These are typically organised by the event organiser or by private transfer companies. Journey time is approximately 25–35 minutes. The Malpensa Express train to Milano Cadorna, followed by the M1 metro to Rho-Fieramilano, is a reliable and cost-effective alternative at approximately 50–60 minutes total.
  • What are the entrance gates of Fiera Milano? Fiera Milano has three main entrance gates: Gate West (Ingresso Ovest), which is the primary public entrance connected to the Rho-Fieramilano metro station; Gate East (Ingresso Est), accessible from the SS11 and SS33 roads; and Gate South (Ingresso Sud), used primarily for logistics and exhibitor vehicle access during set-up and break-down. Gate West is the recommended entrance for most visitors arriving by public transport.
  • What hotels are within walking distance of Fiera Milano? A small number of hotels are within 1–2 km of the venue entrance, including options in Rho town centre (approximately 1.5 km from Gate West). The majority of exhibitor-grade hotels are located in the 5–15 km radius, with the best balance of price and transport connection found in Pero, Pero-Molino Dorino, and the Cenisio/Monumentale districts of Milan. We maintain a curated shortlist updated for each major fair.
  • Is parking available at Fiera Milano? Yes. Fiera Milano has extensive on-site parking, with capacity for several thousand vehicles. Parking fees vary by fair; during Salone del Mobile and other peak events, pre-booking is strongly recommended. EV charging points are available in designated areas. Most exhibitors travelling by car use the A8/A4 ring road system, with signage for “Fiera di Rho” clearly marked from all major motorway junctions.
  • Can exhibitor teams get group rates? Yes. Group rates are available for bookings of 5 rooms or more at most properties in our portfolio. Terms vary by hotel and by fair, but typically include consolidated billing, a single named contact for amendments, and flexible rooming list submission up to 30 days before arrival. Contact us directly with your team size and fair dates to receive a tailored quote.
  • What’s the difference between Fiera Milano Rho and Fiera Milano City? Fiera Milano (Rho) is the main exhibition campus, opened in 2005, located in Rho approximately 18 km from the city centre. It hosts the majority of large international trade fairs, including Salone del Mobile, EICMA, HOST, and TUTTOFOOD. Fiera Milano City (formerly known as Fieramilanocity) is a separate, smaller venue located within Milan itself, near the Portello district. It hosts smaller events and congresses. Unless your event confirmation specifies “Fiera Milano City” or “Portello,” your fair is almost certainly at the Rho site.
  • Which trade fairs are held at Fiera Milano? Fiera Milano hosts more than 70 trade fairs annually. The most significant for international exhibitors include: Salone del Mobile (furniture and design, April), EICMA (motorcycles, November), HOST (hospitality and foodservice, October, odd years), TUTTOFOOD (food and beverage, May, odd years), Fieramilano Transpotec Logitec (transport and logistics), and MEAT-TECH. A full calendar is published annually on the Fiera Milano official website.
